***OKIES in the BYC III ***

We just hatched our first chicks from an incubator. All of them have done well so far except one little one. As we moved them from the incubator I noticed his toes were curled. I put him with the others and he is unable to walk very well. When he tries to stand up his toes curl in and he falls over. Does anyone have any suggestions what to do for him? Thanks
some of my meat birds did this I added a iron supplement to the water fix it for the most part mine were two weeks before I caught it .

2 types of commissions actually, I do alot of Guinea art and am asked just for the subject, and often sell prints, then you have people that want their special pet- so you actually branch out- basic guinea art-

pet portraits

something you might think of doing is miniature art, your style should sell well, they are called ACEO's, and real popular.
great art the Shepperd looks just like my old man is this ink .

That wasn't actually helpful.. sorry.

On this thread we're actually all pretty friendly with each other, which means we have conversations where some answers are helpful and some some may not be what you're looking for, if all you want is assistance. If all you want is assistance and no other interaction, there's some great people in the injuries and illnesses threads on byc that can help you. I would suggest doing a search for curled toes and spraddle leg.

I apologize for being misinterpreted, I was sharing my experience, and when I said that wasn't helpful, I was referring to my own story. I suppose I should have said, "I wasn't helpful" instead. I lurk on this thread often, but rarely comment and I know you are all very kind and helpful to each other.

Sometimes just knowing that you are not alone in a situation, or the first person to experience it - is helpful. Also, the fact that your boys lived a relatively happy and productive (assumed - as pets) life even with feet like that is encouraging.

I just popped into the blanchard auction since I live in blanchard and be forewarned there is more junk than usual. I have it on good authority that someone bought a storage unit and took the stuff up there to sell. There is tons and tons of baby chicks too. I did see one bantam hen with 5 chicks that I liked but I didn't want to stay through all the junk
