***OKIES in the BYC III ***

@subhanalah

any suggestions? this is driving me nuts

Do you have a cat that could hang out in the area at night to catch the rat, but not bother the chickens?? I have an old girl I could do this with, but would have to get up significantly early to put her back out because she is deathly afraid of my chickens AND the chickens quite literally rule the cats around here lol

Dusti I was surprised the buns took straight to eating forage.

I had no pellets and no idea I was bringing home buns, so far they've had grass, lambs quarters, comfrey, lemon basil, raspberry leaves, and sunflower leaves, and some yard weeds they picked out.

OOooh cute, cute, cute!!!!! I love rabbits!! When I was a kid we raised New Zealand Whites and I have always wanted to have them again. What breed are those? I LOVE the gray one especially! :)

The consensus in a rabbit group is the brown boy is a mini rex mix, and the grey female is a chinchilla mix

gotta brag on this boy- @Loriemarler - first day i have had him loose, he 'helped' me clean, didn't bite or flog- i think the trick with him is no contact with hens- if he see's them he goes out of control sorry we missed POOPS, had family birthday party...:)
He looks great. I am so glad he is calming down for you. He is very good to his ladies. Maybe too good lol. I missed you at poops.

Chiggers? Your chickens could have them too.

The sick looking bird on here with the head swelling, I would bet a dozen eggs it was chiggers. That's why the ivermectin treatment worked.

I'm so sad that I couldn't come to POOPS, any chance of having it in a more central location?
I think POOPS changes locations each year- although it was very nice where it was this year. It doesn't seem to be picked out until a few months beforehand so we'll have to see where we can do it next year!

Love all the pictures from POOPS! It looks like it was a blast. I will be there next year. No matter where! (My baby won't be so dependent on me then)
@ksane I hope all is well with your MIL. That's scary stuff and I hope the recovery is smooth.
@lonnyandrinda do you sell your honey anywhere near the OKC area? Are you on the coop?
@greenbeetle I know someone in Yukon with LF splash blue and black cochin. Not sure if she has brown but I got one from her that looks like a peregrine falcon. Probably not a show color but I love it. Anyway, it's kindof a drive for you but let me know if you want contact info and I'll try to find it!
And that d'uccle rooster is BEAUTIFUL!

I do come down to Oklahoma City area every couple of months, Yukon to be exact, in fact I would really like to get that way some time near the end of this month.... maybe we can work this out! Anyone else OKC area want to meet up between Tulsa and Yukon? Send me a PM and I'll start collecting a list. I'm a little flexible on day and time, although earlier is better (probably won't be evening) so we can do whatever works for most people.

I had packets for you, Dusti, and CathieSue. I just forgot to give them out. I will have them again at the Coweta sale on Friday.

POOPS location is usually about who steps up to organize it. But many places are limiting as to bringing live animals to, and some require hiring security gaurds etc... It is a lot harder to find a location then many people think.

Mornings are best for me, early early on weekdays and pretty much anytime on the weekends. Just keep me updated with the details! Also how much is a quart and how many are available?
