Good Morning

I hope everyone is having a good 4th weekend. I ran off a family of coons this morning around 4 am. I was checking the battery charger on the boat and saw them come in the drive way. Went to the lake late yesterday and mt battery was dead. what a bummer. The chickens seem to be doing ok with the heat but I do worry about them.

I finally found a good home for the horses and they picked them up on Saturday so we both were happy. lol Now I can move the chickens out to the lot where I had kept the stud and have more grow out pens for the youngsters.

Michael, thanks for the photos from the auction - enjoy seeing friends! You sure were up late/early this morning!

Pepper! Good you posted - the coons must have been early to your place for the 4th of July cookout! Take care building and moving pens in this heat.

You have found a wonderful group of folks who either live in Oklahoma or wish they lived in Oklahoma

Do you keep more than one color of Orphingtons? Would you like to branch out to other breeds?

I don't have anything other than Orpingtons. I actually have BBS in large fowl as well. The Orpingtons keep me busy enough.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Have a great 4th! I have to go mow the lawn before it hits 100.

Lost a rooster last night to coyotes I am guessing. Took rooster and pulled the tie loose. Figured had to be big to do that. I will have gaurd dog in place tonight. Maye even sentry rounds with the 22 in hand. I hate chicken thieves.
