So, just wanting some opinions. I have 2 runs going on, 1 just silkies and or sizzles, and 1 an assortment of layers-some bantam some LF. I have 2 coops in each run. So, here's my rather complex question: Im getting SFH chicks in a few weeks and would really prefer to have them in the silkie run as I desperately need foragers over there. But will the silkies potentially be bullied? I feel like all of mine are pretty laid back, all that end up being pullets anyway. So, I have 2 coops right now in that run, if its reasonable to keep them in the same run should I add another small house? Its totally doable, I have the space and time. Or can they potentially share a house in the run? Or should I give up on the SFH with the silkies and just put them in the run with the other chickens? There is less space in that run but it is still definitely doable. Opinions anyone?
Also, about black oil sunflower seeds, will seeds straight from my sunflowers work? Seems like a dumb question and I know the sparrows love them but it just occurred to me to ask. I have a sunflower forest here, and my silkies have ZERO interest in mealworms. (Someone needs to tell these silkies they're chickens…)
