I've mention this before I think LOL The first person I met from BYC was okiechick57 I answered an ad in CL for a free Rooster a Barred Rock, When I got there I ended up buying 4 Sex Link hens, She was parting with the Roo cause he has flogged a child and was time for it to go, I put them all in the same coop and was doing something a few days later and the wind opened the door just enough and he bolted, I had just had surgery on my left shoulder so was handicapped My DW tried to help but the Roo really didn't really want to get caught, So I waited till dark and went looking for his roost and couldn't find him, Next day he was staying around the yard and did that for like 3 or 4 days, Then I couldn't find him, I guess he got tired of life with no hens to call his own so he went over to the neighbors yard where they have 2 large Huskies and committed Victim Precipitated Suicide, They spread feathers all over his place but no sign of the body I think they ate everything but the feathers LOL

I tend to agree and you can prep them with less spices LOL

Hi, none of my business, but you will tell the crowd he is mean if you run him thru an auction wont you please. I bought a real nice RIR bantam pair at auction a couple weeks ago and he is a man eater. I can live with it, but would have liked to know before the person sold him. Like I said, none of my business. Guy

I wouldn't sell it without letting buyers know, I wouldn't sell any of my chickens out of one pen for a long time cause I thought I had an illness in their pen and coop but in retrospect I think it was a couple issue that have been resolved or is being resolved still no threat of having something that might spread, I've tested this with new birds and some of my own out of the brooder I put one of the hens that had been ill in with them she had been broody and took them all under her wing and no one got sick, I will tell people if I'm trying to sell one that had been sick so they can quarantine it if they want to, I think they should all be quarantined for a bit when you get them I downsized rabbits and have great cages to use for that. I would never want to dump my problems off on to another and make it their their problem without making them aware if the issue, And I'm glad you brought that up Guy, people will do just that in fact if I remember right the guy I got the Roo from said he was great never had any problems with him that he was a good Roo, I did ask him about the broken spur he didn't know how that had happened, I finished removing it the next day it was just barely hanging on, I might have looked at it as clue #3, That something might be amiss LOL The other two clues were how blunt the good spur was how his comb has been partially dubbed I wouldn't have a clue what those things meant though LOL

Elwood - have I got a deal for you, then! It just happens that I have 4 sex-link pullets that I'd like to part with too, if you're interested. Two BSLs and two RSLs.
