***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Anyone know where to get a few started pullets? I'm in the Tulsa area and don't want to have to drive too far just for chickens. Chicken math is getting the best of me already and I'm ready to add a few new members to the flock!

Worked on okra today that the MIL sent from her garden. That combined with what I picked the past two days yielded ...16 pints of pickled, 8 bags of parboiled for freezer and 5 skillet sized bags of sliced with seasoned cornmeal for the freezer...I don't want to see another pod of okra... until this evening when it is time to pick.

The hatch for the 28th started yesterday. Three large fowl and 6 quail are out. Candled everything else and the hatch is done...no Seramas again. Looks like they all quit about day 12 - 14. Don't think I will order eggs again and think I will hunt here in Oklahoma for chicks or juveniles for my Granddaughter.
Does anyone know the individual in the Harrah/Newalla area that has Serama pairs listed on Craigslist?

Got an update on Okla-Doodle-Doo from a Tennessee thread member. Seems he sold all his birds, dropped off his Facebook page and moved to another town in Tennessee. He has not been posting on the Tennessee thread either. So we know he is still kickin. Sure hope he is okay.

MaryJo...good to see you back...thought you might be tied up with the start of school.

Got to go vote before the polls close! Be back later.

Awww I live south of Siloam Springs. I'm about 2 hours away though. I have 3 white leghorn pullets I'm not needing. They haven't started laying yet but it won't be long!

Sad about OklaDoodle :-( I always thought he was going to move back here.
I don't know the Serama person in Newalla but if you don't take the Frizzled rooster, I will lol That'd be the perfect rooster for your grand daughter!
I think Serama's are just fragile in the egg. I've set *5* of Channing's eggs from his hen and they've all started growing then died about day 5 :-(
@Kassaundra, I am SO going to beat you within an inch of your life lol! Good thing you're a paramedic. You KNEW I had no self-control. Yet you shamelessly posted baby rabbit pictures! I'm picking up yet another rabbit tonight, it's too the point I'm too embarrassed to admit how many I have. I've got 3 boys neutered so far, 2 more hopefully next week. This vet does an awesome job, I'm really impressed.

Oohh since you guys mention rabbits I'm gonna show off mine! The first one is my Champagne D'Argent doe at 8 weeks and the second is my 3 day old baby Silver Fox kit. I love them!

NanK, glad to hear Okla is still kicking, sad to hear things haven't worked the way he wanted, hope he is okay.

Mitzi, I'm sorry. I'm going to blame it on the butterfly effect, completely unintentional.

Yara, so pretty.

WOW! Those are beautiful. How much do pelts go for? Do you sell yours? I may be interested in a month or so.
