***OKIES in the BYC III ***

My hard work of the last few days- I know it's early to be thinking about Halloween but I found this blue formal shift at NBC for $6 on Monday and the juices just started flowing... the cape is made from a sheer curtain panel from Walmart. Whole outfit costed me about $30 to make, including the wig and crown. She is thrilled! And disappointed she can't wear it until Halloween. ;)
I bet this dress eclipses the purple dress!

LOL the purple dress was my other daughter- the two year old. She's going to be Anna, haven't started hers yet but I think I've got it worked out in my head. She's going to love it because it has a blue skirt and that's her favorite color. I keep going back and forth on whether or not I'm going to make the purple cape that goes with the dress.

Just awesome, you should be proud

So cute! You did a great job! I am more morbid on Halloween. Its my favorite holiday. We work Halloween trails and spook houses every chance we get. Here's some of my costumes last year. The first one is me all dressed up for the trail.

I LOVE THIS!!!

When we lived in the city, we had trick or treaters every year. Always had fun decorating and seeing all the costumes.
But since we moved to the farm, we have not had a single child. I prepped the first two years and even told the neighbors we would have treats for the children...not a taker. The community churches have several parking lot events for the families.

I worked out this morning cutting down 15 foot tall sunflower plants that had been great shade for the pens but were shedding their seeds and leaves. It was nice working while it was cool. Made fried chicken, potatoes and gravy, peas, corn and sliced tomatoes for lunch cause the boys are hauling another 48 bale of hay we bought.

Now I have to move the quail chicks around. the oldest go to grow out pens in the barn, the in house brooder chicks get moved to the hot tub room brooder box and the 12 little hatchlings move into the house brooder box.
Then, I'll go cut more sunflower tress down and haul them to the brush piles for the wild birds. Feed them away from the house and they will go....at least that is the plan.
