Well gosh darnit, I know you fall in love with every one of your featherbabies, so it doesn't matter how long you had him. My condolences. I had a predator attack today, and I'm just livid with myself. Dusti loaned me her game cams and I had them both trained on the pen, but I KNEW the attacks were happening in the treeline, and I didn't get any of it captured. Over the last two months I've lost five of my little juveniles, one of my BBB girls, two Minorca pullets, and a CL pullet. Today I found a strewn pile of white feathers and a trail of gray feathers leading into a gully and another pile. My snow white guinea and a pretty, sweet natured EE girl, one of my Floyd girls, are gone. I also have a bloodied and de-feathered BBB boy and my sweet blue red English Orp pullet, Cuddles, is missing feathers and skin. I moved one of the cameras. I think hawks have been to blame for the littlest losses, but the others really worry me. I think it's possibly a coyote, and if it is, it's coming out right behind my house while the dogs are napping in front. I'm going to have to figure out how to trap whatever it is without hurting my dogs.well, i have some of old totes, hd one girl that adored a card-board box, and they seem to like dog carriers too- get a tote, cut a hole in the side, pop the top on, add shavings and they love it- Sad news here, lost my little Elliot over nite, didn't have him long but he sure left a hole in my heart![]()
Thank you so much! I appreciate the link too!
How is she doing tonight? I really think if she makes it to tomorrow it's just a matter of healing and she'll be all right!
