***OKIES in the BYC III ***

My daughter called and said ballet is cancelled for tomorrow, so I'm bringing the girls to Coweta! I have to stop and pick up my new big fluffy boy from Jeansrie too, so I'll be running late.

If you guys bring any of your kidlings, let me know. I'll pick up some snacks for them.

Woohoo! I'll be there with at least a few of mine. Depends on when hubby gets off work.

I'm not going to be able to make it to Coweta tomorrow. Looks like I've got some tree trimming to do before Saturday. One of the older, weaker trees in the front yard cracked and is about to fall over on the fence.

Rinda - I will see you Saturday. Sorry I'll miss the sale Friday.

I was really, really looking forward to some face time. Want to come visit Saturday? The clinic starts at nine, and we'll be here until four. We're doing a pot luck lunch. I've got the drinks covered. Dusti - I have your tools. You could come pick them up. Kelly - I have your capon. You could come pick him up. I suppose I could ignore the tree, and let it fall, but then I might have to replace the fence.

Sorry, forgot to quote. The showgirls both have the wrong number of toes, so are pet quality only.... I was responding to the query for a gentle buddy for Rudy. Dumb buns! Who wouldn't like crickets?!

Awe, that's OK, see you Saturday! Good luck with your tree! And don't let that smiley guy get too wild with the chainsaw! ;)

Well drat, I was really looking forward to seeing you there! I'm afraid to say I won't be able to go Saturday. I'm having a propane tank delivered, and I have to set up a coop for Juliette and the littles, because the one they're in now doesn't give them a lot of wind coverage. I wish I could come over. I'd bring my chainsaw and help with the tree. Maybe we can get together one night during the week or next weekend?

We had a registered 22 month old Angus bull kick the bucket yesterday while we were at hubby's doctor appointment in OKC. His pen buddies that spent all summer with him apparently got riled up more than the typical sparing between teenagers. Not a pleasant surprise especially since we had taken a great unregistered 3 year old Angus bull to market just the day before that brought $2400.
Fortunately we have kept good bulls coming up thru the ranks and will have registered bulls old enough to help cover the herd in the spring. Just hated to lose this one.

Then this morning found a pile of feathers floating around the front of the barn....a hawk must have taken one of the little juveniles that was still slipping out thru the chain link to free range at dawn before we opened the pens. I'm still trying to figure out which one of the young cockerels it was.

Therapy has been knocking my socks off. Came home this afternoon and took a two hour nap. Hubby had fed and watered all the birds for me...such a sweet man!
