***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I know there are a million renditions of this, but this little 3 year old of mine lisping her way through "Let it Go" melts my heart!

What brand is this incubator?

It's a generic brand for Janoel. I didn't buy it. I went with what I know is reliable. I figure a few saved eggs each hatch pays for the difference in the long run.

In related news, my chicken addiction is going strong. Jubilees are doing well. I love them. However I still want my smorgasbord of chickens, so I ordered several eggs this weekend...egg-cited about the breeds. ;)

Hatching today...Jubilees. Overnight, 2 Silkies (one is blue or black and the other appears buff) and a Blue Breda made their way out. :)

Hi folks! Hate to pop in simply "wanting" something when I haven't been here in about two months, but I'm in a bind!

Ya know I was in Arizona for treatment, have been home since late October and so far am doing really well. I'll return for a follow up PET scan the 27th of this month & I'll know if the treatment worked.

Well, while I was gone/recovering done of my pullet's turned into roosters & I have tooooo many.

So, someone please direct me to a detailed link on butchering our explain what I need and how to do it!
I have a Buff Rock boy that's mean as hell. A Cuckoo Maran that breaks my heart to kill, but he's too rough on the girls, and a roo that showed up out of nowhere.

Hugs to all of you! Hope you had a Merry Christmas & your New Year is going well.

Hello YardBirdMom: Glad you're doing well. Video's of processing poultry looks easy, but for a newbie, it'll probably be somewhat slow. Good thing you don't have many to work with this time. Main thing is to get the water hot enough ( about 140-150*F) to dip the poultry in a few time to loosen their feathers for easy plucking. Have Fun !
