We aren't going to make it this year. Bummer. But life has been upside down this year. Hopefully next time!

I would love a couple of pullets - possibly Blue and naked necked !!!!!!!!!!!!
are you dry hatching with the brinsea? I found that works betterHad chicks in the bator that were going to hatch Sat, I thought. Woke this am w/ 2 little ones and another pipping.
I have to say I really am growing to hate my Brinsea!!!! Every egg was shrink wrapped except the first two that popped out fast over night. But I am glad to know it is the incubator and not my chickens. 3 chicks are in icu and still on the half shell right now. 2 quit shortly after the move (got the fertile eggs from Coral half way "baked"), one was shrink wrapped and dead in the shell.

Are you having trouble getting the humidity high enough, or keeping it up? I kind of have my eye on a brinsea since I am starting to hate my styrafoam incubator![]()

I don't know what the problem really is, I've had good humidity levels and still have shrink wrapped eggs. I have had shrink wrapped eggs w/ humidity so high there is condensation on the inside of the incubator, and when it has been raining for days w/ 100% humidity outside. They get shrink wrapped even w/o an external pip, so no actual "hole" in the shell they are still shrink wrapped and dead inside.

Hmm that's really weird. I had that happen once and I did help the babies out. I have had to deal more sticky chicks cause of high humidity than shrink wrapping. On my next hatch I might try to stick my incubator inside of a closed cardboard box to see if that helps maintain proper temp and humidity.
