***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Is there anyone in the Oklahoma City area that has sexed male muscovies that are less than a week old who'd be willing to sell me one of them? I really want one to raise for my six females and as a pet. I only want one because the males fight each other too much.

I opened my truck this morning and found a black sex-link hen asleep on the console. She woke and posed for a photo. She must have sneaked in yesterday when I got home from Easter festivities in Tulsa. When I turned the key in the ignition, the wipers came on high and the flashers were blinking for a left turn. I suspect levers were tried in an escape attempt last night. Hmmmmm........Has this ever happened to you?

I'm Oklahoma born and raised. It's home. In the beginning, I only wanted 3 chicks and ended up with 6. The Hubs wants ducks when the chicks get older. And I'm trying to talk him into either goats or a pig. Also trying to talk him into selling our house in town and move to the country but he keeps giving me a firm "NO" on that one, lol. I ended up with a Buff - Is that the only breed you have?

That is so funny!

Hey everyone, I'm wanting to get an opinion (and Okies have the best opinion)! I have a mixed flock and I'm wanting some mixed chicks, so I need a roo.

My current flock is a buff orp, buff brahma/orp mix, production red and X2 mutts. All are great layers and I'm wondering what I should throw into the mix for a roo.

I'm thinking an Easter Egger roo, but what do yall think?

We have goats, ducks, geese, and chickens. I have though about pigs, but I don't love them. Lol! We have buffs, barred rocks, welsummers, and speckled sussex. I adore my chickens!

As for oklahoma, so far I love it. The wind can be rough sometimes, but I'm from houston and almost anything is better than there!

Good call. They tend to have good temperament and you'll add more colored eggs to your collection!
