***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Cool moth, I've never seen one like that. But can't keep from wondering which of my garden veggies his offspring wants to eat! lol

The keet toward the bottom is brown the other one is 4 days older & pearl. In person I can see that the brown is slightly lighter in color, but I can only tell since I am putting it side by side a pearl.

Hey Okies! I have been busy working weird hours on weird projects (for me), but got a chance to get home for a couple hours and catch up on BYC.

Congrats to NanaKat's husband.
Shavon - take care of yourself.
Donnie! Good to see you post - hang in there!
Okla-Doodle - back on MIL duty, huh? Thanks for the auction pictures.
Kass - nice chocolate lab puppy.

I have good news and bad news about the weather. The good news is the unseasonable heat wave is over. The bad news is that it's late July/August and now this weather is normal.

Hi Joe - No. I haven't taken pictures in a long time. Taking pictures of hot chickens is like taking pictures of people when they are eating: not super attractive. If we get a break in the heat I'll make all the Coronations say, "Cheese!" They are lovely, but they're uncomfortable and cranky in the heat.

old*cowboy :

I love them auctions where the birds and cage sale together. You see some pretty creative boxs.

Yeah, its plum harilous sometimes at what the birds and animals are brought in. Everything from buckets and tubs to old cookware and bird cages to live traps. I like the Amish cages, they are uauslly made out wood slats and would hold a wildcat!lol

Ha! Yes - one of the Pilgrim chickens (Light Sussex) is laying a very nice, small and smooth tan egg. The other hasn't layed yet. I call them Celine and Mariah since they are the most diva-acting of clucks. Instead of clucking, one of them chirps loudly - and they submit only to the older Marans so are at the top of the flock. They are fluffy, active and seem happy - and they are getting along splendidly. Thank you so much!!

I need to take photos, too - but they don't like me to take their photo when they're panting...so it may be awhile. The splash Ameraucana from you is turning out to have the most beautiful markings.

HI all, on at the library again for a few minutes, just wanted to say I sure miss yall and my computer, miss getting on with eeryone in the mornings and evenings, have a blessed day all! Lynn
