It is with great sadness that Jason aka Chicken Flavored Cook-e and I Jeannie aka The Barn Swallow

must make the following announcement and that is we are

MOVING TO FORT DRUM NEW YORK

First week of NOVEMBER



Jason received his military PCS orders on Thursday and in the past 24 hours

we have experienced many different emotions in our family...

but we know that the Lord has a plan as well as a sense of humor considering we always thought to move east... just not that EAST



As some of you know we have poultry and fowl we will need to sell
So if you or someone you know maybe interested please shoot me a pm:
I have Naked Necks, Mutt Chickens, variety of other chickens(my brain is a lil racked right now) as well as Mallards,Indian Runners,ect.
Just asking for a fair and honest price as the money earned will go to help our up front costs with moving.
Shoot us a PM if you are seriously interested... or would like to see pictures.. thanks...


And our home will be put up for sale.. ha ha I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later...

Had to post a picture of sailor on here. I posted him on the NN thread, but thought some of you guys might like him too. Bought a grab bag (box) of 12 NN chicks at Blanchard a couple weeks ago. Turned them in the brood house with all my chicks. I noticed this guy right off. Named him sailor because his comb puts me in mind of a sailors cap. I dont know what type comb you would call this, but it is neat.

Jason told Aleisha and I yesterday while Austin and Brooklynn were away at Vacation Bible School and at first I was like its hellpaso ... we are going back to el paso again arent we.. and aleisha says its Alaska right.. (we didnt even know at that time what he was going to say on what ever it was he wanted us to sit for.. we just got lucky)... he said to aleisha your close... nope New York... I then in my shock and humor response go into a old Pace commercial.. soon after him and Aleisha already get on both computers and look at real estate

We told Austin last night when he got home and he was pretty sad and teary eyed... and was like but I like Oklahoma (we moved here when he was 5.. so to him.. this has been his home.. Just as Colorado was Aleishas home when we lived there for almost 8 years)...

Prayers will be needed.. my inital thoughts were my concerns and attachments to our foster children and how much I would miss them dearly,but know that I can not hang onto something that is not mine to hang onto..

We thought of our BYC friends this morning when we realized it would be wise to start down sizing before the move..
