***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hi Michael, I don't have to have a particular breed, but I was thinking if I could find some bantams to start with I would. Maybe some blk rosecombs or seabrights? But like I said, I won't be picky, would probably be out on high maintainance breeds, but other than that, I'd just like something that would be competative at our county show.
If you coon hunted I bet you knew my friend, Bob Farabough. He loved loved loved his feathered friends and he was always soooo helpful when it came to my kids and their poultry projects. Thanks to him and his advice and help picking our best birds, my youngest son won the broiler show at Tulsa twice. One of the most memorable things I ever did was that phone call telling Bob we'd won that first show. You'd have thought it was his own kid. Anyway... thanks for the info!

Amy, check back tomorrow. there is a group of people that are usually on during the day that may help. If you are looking for Seabrights contact SJarvis. they have really good ones. they are from the Shawnee area.

Amy, it looks like you are finding help but if you are wanting rosecombs there is a guy in Stillwater that raises some of the best i have ever seen. Even his culls would probably do well at the fair. His name is Larry and he is always at the Guy Rose auction on Saturdays between Stillwater and Perkins

This is what I think happened, too. I've run across too many people who are this way. I doubt the women is mentally ill in any way at all. She probably just doesn't give the animals a 2nd thought all day. They were probably her husband's and with him not there right now she just doesn't care.

Yah that's wat i think to .. I no if some thing happen to me the first one that pulld up would get free chicken's my wife hate's thim ..

Morning folks! Waiting for motherinlaw to get up,last night was her first night of not getting up. Her new meds seem to put her to sleep so we will have to try something else.Although I said "let sleeping dogs lie" and ducked real fast to avoid the slap!lol

Done the morning feed and watering. Trying to break up a couple of hens from their chicks. They want to roost up high and the chicks can't follow them so I figure they don't really need them. Haveing a hard time finding a group to put my new icelandic roo with. He is a teenager and not real brave so everyone pics on him. He is bigger than any of my other birds ,just doesn't realize it!The lady I got him from has a lead on me some more so I am happy about that.

Going to be another hot looks like. I need to go and cut the g. pigs some grass. They ate a bushel and a half of grass yesterday(three cuttings) No wonder they are called pigs!lol. And tahts besides their pellets!

Howdy maam, welcome to this board. Great bunch here. Shame you didnt make it to Guy Rose auction this past sat. I sold 5 hens and a rooster in Bantam white leghorns. They were all show quality and the rooster was probable as nice of bantam leghorn as I have seen. I needed the space and they werent my breed so took them there and about gave them away. I might be able to sale a trio of nice cornish bantams, hadnt decided yet, I need to sex the ones I have gotten hatched to see what I have in replacements coming on. There is a guy south of you that gets on here some by the name of GotGame that has some nice modern and OEG bantams. I dont know if he has any for sale at the time. There is a man over here by Freedom Okla that doesnt get on here (or maybe he does I dont know for sure) that raises real nice Modern bantams. If interested I can PM you his name. Good luck on your venture, and welcome again.
