***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Good Evening Okies. I am so looking forward to this weekend.

I will be up at the property on Friday early that morning.
I believe that Al said that he would be there around 9 am as well......


These have been the rules and regulations that were given to the auction property.

Due to disease control, NO goats, pigs or piglets, sheep, calves or cows, or horses can be
allowed to be brought onto the Auction Property on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Hope everyone is enjoying this rain. I know that we needed it here.
We now have water standing in our pastures.

I found a whole nest of chicken eggs, guinea eggs, and duck eggs today while messing around
inside the barn.

He hasn't driven it since December & the batteries (2) are dead & need to be replaced. Hopefully he get's it going on Friday.

I guess if he doesn't get it running, we could bring a small trailer with all our stuff.

We intend to bring quite a few raffle items.

We have several birds to donate for the processing demonstration (including a turkey and a duck)

For sale will be lots of chicks including naked neck babies and many are frizzle!

Hatching eggs will be available from all our birds.

We'll bring some baby muscovy ducks and lots of baby turkeys of all the varieties we raise.

Oh .... and we hope to bring some of our tame fainting goats that are for sale.

And I have some poultry catching hooks to sell. They are great for catching chickens that get loose! The sweet ladies that came and tested our chickens for NPIP and AI let us borrow their poultry hook & I just had to have a few ... so I bought extras. The hook works great for catching chickens, turkeys and ducks!


I can't wait to visit with lots of Okies on Saturday

I think I have bought eggs from you before...you guys off of HWY 4 in Tuttle?...if so, I will tell every living soul that we had our highest hatch rates with your eggs...if not, we will be buying some from you at POOPS!!

I wonder if this is because of bonding issues for auctions? I have heard it is more restrictive for larger animals than for fowl.

Maybe somebody otta check up on this before folks start leaving their animals at home.

Speaking of Coops and Runs (can you tell I am catching up on the thread?) Here is the start of our new one! Its not under a pine anymore, we decided to move it across from the house.

Also, here is a pic of the cochin who I thought was going broody, she sure does hang out in the box when she lays an egg, but she got off on her own. She was hiding 4 eggs though.

Also, you have to bring the boys. Heck riding with you five hours should be enough punishment for anything they might do between now and then.Besides Jared needs some good influence!
