And I thought We lived in the country!

You might check the drawers of the desk to see if there is a nest...if that possum disappeared that fast.

You would have laughed at me had you seen how quick I opened all the drawers after I read this post LOL I hadn't even thought about that but they were all clear and still no sign of the thing, I will be leaving the live traps set in here for a while I already told the cat to stay out of the traps cause the ingredients in the recipe for possum stew works for cats as well, She hasn't even looked twice at the bait since then LOL

There will likely be lots of BYC folks at Newcastle auction. I plan to attend and Carla and Gerald often go as well. Elwood said he will be there and Michael Daugherty will likely be there. Since it has been 2 weeks since an auction in the OKC area it should be well attended.

Hi Okies, good to know there will be lots of BYcers at New Castle, we're planning on coming too! We've got seven 4 week old pied keets we're bringing...and we'll have to see what else is laying around that needs "rehomed" to make room for more feathered friends....

from what I understood from Don and a few others that were planning on attending there will be some very good well breed birds including Don's marans and delewares and a few other things. Don's birds are quite the sight he does a great job in teh breeding pen.. everyone should be proud to have the opportunity to own a bird produced by Don.

Thanks for the auction participation news. I haven't been able to talk chicken with anyone for weeks, so making the drive to Newcastle is going to be worth the effort.

How late does it usually run? Any guesses about how long it will run Saturday night?

I will be a Newcastle Sat. If anyone on the eastside of the state that is coming is willing to pick up a cockerel from the Mounds area please PM me. Also I got a call from my mother and she has to rehome her GP. She can't keep him in the yard anymore, he goes over her 4 foot fence, looks like I have another one now, I may be gong to let my female go, I'm not sure yet, I don't thinl she has as much Pyrenese as I was told before I got her. She is a good guard dog though, no attacks on the goats since I got her 2 yrs. ago.
