***OKIES in the BYC III ***

MJ I hope you get to feeling better soon & stay better! Also be firm with Jack, make sure he stays home & rest. Take away his keys if you have to, another stay in the hospital is the last thing he needs. There will always be another chicken auction.

Glad to hear a report on the auction, I think we would have even been tempted by some Lemon Blues. Sure hope they went to a very good home.

Where Mcguyver been lately? I have a Dominic hen I hatched from her eggs that acts very bad. Every night she wants to roost in the guinea coop & not with the layers. We keep moving her down everynight but no luck retraining her.

For the guy wanting black copper Karan's I think a lady out by caney ridge has some. Her name is Donna burns you can get ahold of her on Facebook at Cherokeebirds. Or join the group northwest Arkansas northeast Oklahoma poultry swap.
I think this is the quote Cherokeebirds was referencing.....

Here is my new brooder ready to receive chicks today....will hold up to 100 for two weeks....
43 x 37 with a red heat lamp... set up in the bonus room.
Thermometer shows 90 degrees so will drape a cover over the space for the tray and cover half of the window vent on top to adjust the temps up a smidge. The chicks will add some heat of their own.

Has insulation board and a nice pull out tray. The floor is 1/2 inch wire so will cover about half with a cup towel for the first few days.

My EE Honey Boo Boo laid her 1st egg at 22 weeks this morning!!!!!!!!! Her sister Punkin is next up....
