I figured out where my free-rangers are laying. Those stinkers made a path behind a hay bale and under a bush. There were a dozen eggs in the hidden nest today. I've cleaned it out. Now that I know where to look, I can put some fresh bedding down for them (when the rain stops). The eggs were a soggy, muddy mess.

Stroud lake is 3 miles N. and 3 miles E. of the turnpike. They 2 covered pavilions, you can camp, they have a nice swimming area for the kiddos. There is even a nice Hotel close by also. Also thre is a feed store on the Highway before you get to the lake turn off. This could be a fun place that is 1/2 between OKC and Tulsa.

That's about an hour and a half from here. Have you ever reserved/rented a pavilion? Do you know what the regulations are as far as bringing animals (chickens/ducks/geese)?

I sent an e-mail to the Lake Supervisor at Stroud. I'll find out what the rules/costs/limitations are.

Not sure what you need here, but I am going to Cushing for my sons wrestling tournament on Saturday. Live and work in OKC area, I am sure I could get boxes for you here if that is what you need. Not sure how they would get to Georgia by Monday though.

I am sorry, i have not done any canning this year, I hate that I haven't I appreciate how everyone supported me on that, also I am looking for Postal Regulated Shipping Boxes for Live Birds!!! They have to be approved by the USPS to ship in, need either a 3 slot one or 2 of the single boxes I can tape together!!! Let me know if you can help me there! Thanks!!! Lynn

Everytime I have found a "hidden" egg laying location and harvested the eggs they have not used that spot anymore.

Kass I just rob the nest of the eggs I want. The eggs I leave I draw a line all the way around the middle of the egg. Then each day at a glance I can collect the fresh eggs. It is the best way I have found to be able to track guinea nest. They have always continued to lay as long as I leave 3 or 4 eggs.

Last year when it camped it was like $7.00 per night for tent camping, $15.00 for RV. I thought that the pavilions were 1st come, 1st serve but last year one was reserved for a school reunion.
It is approx. 1 1/2 hour from the Blanchard also.

There are to Pavilions at the lake, one each on the east and west side. The east side has more open area, less developed.
