***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Just to let everyone know.  We are all safe.  We left oklahoma for Disney World just hours before the Moore tornado.  All family and friends are safe in Moore.  We made it back Wednesday at noon.  Had a blast.  WhiskeyTango how have your Wheaten chicks turned out?  Looks like I have two roos and three pullets.

That's awesome, we are going to disney world in September

Strange weather. Hope everyone is safe.

I walked 8 miles with my pack today. Weirdness followed me, but no dogs this time. Two trucks stopped to make sure I was okay. Both drivers assumed my car had broken down, somewhere, and I was lost, trying to find a gas station or a tow truck.

Did I mention I was carrying a pack and using a walking stick? Anyway, I thanked both drivers and assured them I was only a few miles from home. I'm going to find some walking trails that are populated with bikers and hikers for my next hundred miles. I must not look like a hiker, yet.

Maybe it was my hat. I'll have to get a different hat.

September is the best time to go!!! Only issue is hurricanes. Check out disboards.com & allears.net-- I also love ridemax!!!!!

Coral maybe you need a spirit flag on your walking stick. haven't yet looked for pictures of how I sorted my supplies at school or set up areas, just haven't had time sorry!

Thanks. Maybe a spirit flag would help. Walking where other people are walking, on purpose, will make my training less stressful as well.

No rush on the classroom pictures. I'll take measurements and create a floor plan next week. When you see the space available, you may have some super ideas for how to make the best use of it.

ISAbrown is a red sex link they also have several other names but hey are the same bird

red sex link
ISAbrown
gold star
red star
golden comet
cinnamon queen

these are all names for the same bird most hatcheries carry them they are also the birds that the 4H kids get fro the chain pen at the fair

also please note that they are a one time cross witch produces an exalant  laying bird that matures fast and are color sexable at hatch pullets are an orange red and cockerels are white  but if you breed them back together the offspring will no longer be color sexable and the pullets will lose some of there laying abilities

Very good explanation!

Choctaw made it thru the worst weather tonight with just se wond and a lot of rain.

Had to put down my big, LF Buff Cochin rooster today. He was a gentile (sp?) giant.
