Here is my update I posted on Facebook:
Update after Bull Snider's appointment. He has to go to MD Anderson in Houston to have his tumor and lymph nodes removed. Results from that surgery will take about 2 weeks to get back. Those results will determine which type of radiation/chemo he will receive. Most of this afternoon after his appointment has been a blur. We have been through so much in our years together. 5 miscarriages, failed infertility treatments, a failed adoption, kidney stone complication that about took my life, mini stroke, loss of our business, personal and business bankruptcy and now we are faced with this. We know we will endure and make it through this like we always have before, but this has knocked us down to our knees. We appreciate all the support from our family and friends. Please say a prayer for our family.
adding you to prayer groups i am part of, and like Poco said, we are here if you need help.
had another death in the family, my Aunt Francis, quite a shock, its been a rough year, she passed in her sleep- was in hospice, but hard anyway
made a major decision- can't see the forrest for the trees! I am combining all the bantams into one run, 10 x 20, including silkies, so it will be a mix of cochins and silkies- but only one group to deal with- then i will only need to make 1 run and coop in the fall for the faverolles- i was really feeling overwhelmed by what needed done- to the point of considering a major downsize- i have house seramas, but other than that everyone will have a place, now if only i could find homes for these kittens- i really only need 3 homes....
We planted our garden pretty late, but it is looking good. Still have the okra and melons to get planted. I do have a chicken question for all of you. We are new to this this year, and have 8 bantams that are 9 weeks old. 2 Welsummers, 2 E.E. and 4 Silkies. Is there any kind of routine medicine we should know about giving them, or should we just feed, water, and play with them and not worry about it? Thanks. Anyway, back to the garden. We also planted 10 blueberry plants. Never had them before and they are looking really good. Have a great day all!
