Okay, I've stopped collecting eggs for hatching and every bird gets out to free range now. 
Charlie is still missing Ninya, but is adjusting to being the only goose on the place.  He is less aggressive now too.
The calf Sunshine is healing nicely...still gets her daily blue lotion on the foot, but penicillin every other day.  She sure is getting big and when she figures out she is stronger than we are we will have to stop giving her the shots. 
I have chicks that hatched yesterday (23) and will be moving two week olds to the brooder room and 5 week olds out to a  juvenile pen today so the babies can move to the brooder box in the hot tub room.  May try to slip some under the three broody Cochins this evening. 

Someone asked about putting two hatches in the same incubator.  I do it all the time.  When you put the first hatch in lockdown, you could put the second hatch in an egg carton and hand turn the carton until those are ready for lockdown....just keep a close eye on the humidity since opening the incubator each time you turn the egg carton will affect that.   OR, you could order another incubator without a turner to use as your hatcher....enable..enable..enable.
I have two tabletop Hovabators for incubating and use a Little Giant as the hatcher.

Haha, enable! Thanks for the tip about keeping the second batch in an egg carton, I'll try that!

Home from vacation to Yellowstone. I'm not even going to try to catch up with two missed weeks on this thread, I can't even catch up when I miss a couple of days let alone a couple of weeks. Lol.

Lost a turkey while we were gone. Not sure what happened. It was one of our laying hens. We used the same person to take care of them this year that we used last year. Last year they did great and we loved them. This year we're not even sure she fed them every day and she left the silkies outside all night. Sigh. It's so hard to find someone to care for our animals well. Guess it's a good thing we have no money left to take any more trips. Ha. Our little silkie girl is happy though. She made a nest under the wisteria and laid 10 eggs in it. Our boy is bringing her food, grasshopper and lettuce and tomatoes. They are so cute.

Garden is running over the yard. Although we lost our marigolds and our avocado tree that we've nursed for five years (AWWWWW) everything else seems to have done okay. Harvested two huge patty pan squash, a handful of green beans, a couple of pounds of tomatoes, and a half gallon pitcher of squash bugs.

Baby rabbits are getting big. Someone on here was looking for meat rabbits before we left, are you still needing some?

I guess you might be thinking of me on the meat rabbits. I just want to buy some rabbits after they are processed.

I am interested in buying meat rabbits, but not until my dens/runs are set up, probably (hopefully) by fall.

Well somehow my two pregnant goats that I have, got over the fence and into the neighbor's yard and their dogs tore both of them up. I don't even know how they got over the fence I've got four foot fencing with two strands of barbed wire on top of it. I guess the five to six foot tall grass that covers their yard because they never mow it , must have been too enticing for them.

I don't even know how they got over the fence I've got four foot fencing with two strands of barbed wire on top of it. I guess the five to six foot tall grass that covers their yard because they never mow it , must have been too enticing for them.

Oh no. I am so sorry. Do you have any vetercyn on hand. Spray it on the wounds

I don't have it set up how I like yet but here are the wyandottes I got from Nanakat and the chicken tractor built by jonouthouse. I bought some brackets this week so I can put in a hanging feeder and water but didn't get around to doing that yet.

boy i'd sure want to ream them! glad the silkies are ok, and that silly girl will be such a good mommy- that is so cute how the boy is bringing her treats- need pics!

spent the morning making a duck run, for some reason papa duck has begun chasing the ducklings, so they now have there own pool and yard, they feel safer i am sure, not sure why papa is doing that, the ducklings are barely a month old

we seem to have at least 2 broody guineas- only 5 are on the porch at nite, and you can hear the others call at dusk - wish they had gone broody closer

oh no, hope they aren't hurt to bad, goat are really bad about getting out of fences.
