I think only online, and there is a specific type for animals you have to get. Several on here get it and I'm sure they will post more specific info. I keep meaning to get some and forgetting.

me too!! i had fresh corn on the cob to night and threw the scaps out to my flock and tuns of fly pounced on it. yuck. do you have to keep the chickens off the ground where you sprayed till it dries or can they walk on it right away?

I've ordered it from Cutler Supply, www.cutlersupply.com. Pricey but it does the job! I was really confused at first because the label says to mix with an activator, but on further research it disinfects just fine plain. If you add an activator you can use Vitamin C (crushed tablets from the pharmacy) or Citric Acid (from the canning supplies), BUT it makes it super potent- you have to wear a mask when spraying it and keep the birds out until the mist has settled.

Thanks Kassaundra and Rinda for the info on Oxine. I'm thinking while I treat the coop for all the flies, I may as well do the whole cleaning job! I tried the vanilla trees also, at least it smelled a bit better!

If you have electricity in your coop a box fan works great for getting the flies out of the coop, but they relocate to just outside the coop.

Been a busy few days here. I can't wait for fireworks season to end. Eag year it seems harder and harder to keep up with the house, work and the stand. I did enjoy a day away from the fireworks Saturday working the CPN Festival. Down fall is I came home with hardly any voice left from yelling "don't run" all afternoon at the swimming pool lol. Today was spent cleaning the fireworks stand and travel trailer.

Nathanael went to feed birds tonight and said Mr Red was looking under the weather again. He put B12 in his water and I guess I will go to the house first thing in the morning and start him on antibiotics again. Not sure what is up with the poor guy. His comb turns blue and he act all listless. I think I may bring him and his favorite hen back to the fireworks stand with us. He was doing so well after 5 days of Noromycine and b12 but now down again.

Love today's weather. I hope these temps hold out until next Monday when the AC guy is supposed to come and fix our unit. I have kind off gotten spoiled to having AC here in the travel trailer lol.

Well off to bed if I can sleep with all this traffic. Turner Turnpike is closed between Wellston and Stroud so all the traffic is going right by our stand which is about 80ft from my bed lol.
