***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I broke down this week and got some antibiotics for my head crud, it kept coming back, hopefully it will be gone for good now.

I hope it dose, you can never tell i had similar thing a month ago but with a really sore throat took a z pack and it didn't help then the game me a steroid shot and i made me feel better for a week the felt cruddy for a few more days before it went away. So this time i think im just going to try to tough it out especially since i don't have a sore throat.

Do you guys reember Honey who i rescued at the last poops? a shredded back? well, she is a house bird, since she doesnt know she is a chicken- lives in a cage in my studio except during her free time daily- anyway- she decided to check our the nativity!

I ordered a standard. We are raising primarily for production but my son had an Austrolorp (we nursed from an injury) that would let him carry him around! His name was Pip and we adored him. My son found him dead, looked to be a botched hawk attack (broken neck). I am a bit afraid that the cochin will get too big for my son to carry around, but I can always breed him to my big BOrp and get fluffy sweet babies!

He was beautiful! One of my favorite cochins was this girl, considered a giant cochin(not sure if there really is a catagory like that but thats what the breeder said) This is cassiopea- lost her over the summer, and behind her is licorice- my permanent broody- she lives to be a mama

Nana, thanks for telling me about the Blue Andalusion- i was most concerned on temperment, but Josie who is sending the eggs said both him and the dealwares are very docile- I may need to make a new pen for unexpected roos...LOL!

Ummmm.....not only do I need a chicken intervention....I need a corgi intervention!

Facebook has become way too dangerous for me with all these for sale and rescue groups. I'm getting 4 pullets next Friday and in negotiation with same seller for 6 more. And someone posted a plea for rehoming some young corgis....I'm trying to get 1 or 2 of them.

At least with the chickens I can gift my surplus to kyzmette!

I just love their round fluffy shape!!!

Our newest additions will be here mid February. It can't be soon enough for our poor RStar hen, she is the one my son has decided to carry around now

We ordered a Partridge Cochin roo, it looks like he will eventually get too big for my son to carry but hopefully he will be docile enough to tolerate lots of love!
The other birds in the order are production layers some more EE's (I can't wait) and 3 Buff Brahmas (one roo). That will put me up to 38 females 5 roos!
Does everyone think that is an alright ratio? The roos I have are pretty docile, one Light Brahma, one SSH, and an EE. The EE is the only one I am concerned about he is in the process of boot camp right now (which entails lots of cuddles while I do chores LOL)!
