Welcome! Post away, everyone is welcome, we even have a few out-of-staters that post here occasionally.

I have them and they just started laying. I will have eggs for sale in about 2 weeks once I test for fertility. I'm just south of you in Coweta! You can see pictures of my birds on my website, www.chickenfanatics.com. Eggs will be $8 each.

@hotcultr I know exactly what you mean. My mother has some mental illness issues, so I grew up learning the kind of social skills that make school as a kid pretty isolated. I'm fortunate I have made fantastic friends over the years, but my natural tendency is to want to seclude myself. Years ago I realized I would be my mother if I didn't fight that, so I force myself to do what I call "friend maintenance", which just means maintaining a healthy friendship by spending time together. I don't always want to do it, but I know I will be a happier, better person if I do.

You should come do chicken friend maintenance with us some day soon!

Chicken auctions are a great place to do chicken friend maintenance... Also you can indulge in chicken addiction, as well...

My computer broke so I'm on my phone exclusively. I haven't been able to keep up as I would like. Here are pictures of my eggs. I only have two hens and we get two eggs most days so I think they're doing great! The blue egg is the prettiest sky blue color. I'm so glad hubby picked an Easter egger.
