Give Jack a hug for me.. Seems kind of ironic that the hen just happened to jump the fence to lay eggs in the front.. Almost like she was doing it for him..Neighbor Jack is still healing up and hadn't seen his birds much in a while. I occasionally bring a bird in his house for a visit.
One of the game hens that run in his back yard has been jumping the fence and is sitting on 14 eggs in a nest under a bush right by his front porch. So Jack can just pull back a curtain at the front window or open the front door and see her sitting 5 feet away. Silly hen![]()
I had Langshans a few years ago.. I had one roo named Larry (who's legs are hairy) and he was enormous.. He was also the most docile rooster in the yard.. It was embarrassing because even the little cochin roosters would pick on him..Random:
Tonight I saw some Langshans that belong to a fellow BYCer... but I never see her on this thread. She teaches the kids' 4H in our area. Any way, I never realized any chicken breed could be as large as those were!! The boys were only 6 mo old and HUGE!!! I didn't know chickens could get to that size. Just thought I would share my amazement for the day.![]()
Here is what my doctor recommended to me.. Journal your headaches and what is going on during before and after, to see if there is a pattern.. Found it was a hormone imbalance that happens to most women right before that time of the month.. Sorry guys... Don't mean to gross you all out, but keep that in mind when the women in your life are acting differently..Same here, I was about nine and remember telling my mom, "Wow, the stars really do twinkle!" I think it cut her to the heart.I was the oldest so she learned from me and everyone got checked earlier. Ended up that ALL 6 of my siblings got glasses eventually, we are all near-sighted and it is hereditary. Guess Ammon got my eye genes. :/
Hannah glasses are not a cure-all for headaches. I suffered from frequent headaches and migraines all the way through high school and college. They were worse if I wasn't wearing my glasses but still there. Got Lasik surgery when I was 21 and don't regret the expense one second. Still had lots of headaches until I finally finished college. Turned out mine were very much stress related. Between schooling in a demanding degree at a private university and working a full time job I was always stressed. I still get probably 2-3 migraines a year but not monthly anymore. I get a regular headache about once a month.
Also they can be hormone related and cycle with your monthly hormones. Just some thoughts.
Good luck with the hatch!!! Have a great night!!!Having trouble getting on BYC with my Ipad...says it cant find the server.
Sorry to hear about all the frostbitten toes and feet. Hopefully everybird will improve quickly.
The eggs in the hatcher are starting to pip...even with the drop to 80 degrees when the power was off. Im hoping many hatch thru the night.
Im going to head to be earlier tonight...haven't felt 100% today. I think I just need a good night's rest.
