How much do I give it? Just a few drops? And how do you administer it? It has the eye dropper which will help... Thank you!True5 I may sound like a broken record but give the splay legged baby some poly-vi-sol vitamins (without iron kind). It does wonders. Hobbles are hit and miss in my experience, sometimes they help sometimes not.
EDIT: I found the post a few days ago that answered my questions. I took the hobbles off to let it relax the skin for a little while and the poor thing was holding it's foot up like it was hurting or just didn't know how to stand on it. I really hope the vitamins do a miracle. If they do you will be hearing about my happy dance! Thanks Robin for the tip!
What a BEAUTIFUL day!!! Going to start putting the marans out during the day in a pen and let them get use to everyone and the outside (which is a bit of a shock for them as the see other chickens). I'm hoping to get them use to it so they can permanently move out. I have 26 chicks that will be needing their box in the garage pretty soon. Oh boy... 26. I don't think I was really thinking on the chicken math there. I got eggs and the breeders of two breeds: Here are two extra!. Then one breeder: Here, I have six olive egger eggs, would you like them for $10? Me: Oh sure! The more the merrier!
My way of thinking: Oh not ALL of them will hatch.
