We sorted cows a few days ago to prep for moving to pastures. Took the first group to Choctaw to the MILs 40 acres today and will take a larger group to our 155 acres in Prague tomorrow. Moved the bull in with a third group yesterday and the fourth group got their bull today. The heifers were moved to the back 40 so they are not a distraction to the herd bulls until we are ready for them to breed.
While all this was going on, the biddy hens started taking their chicks outside to free range. They were teaching dust bathing techniques and how to scratch in the grass for morsels. There were a few temporary lost chicks calling to Mom, but they were quickly restored to their family. Tonight there were two older hens bedded down with two of the mothers with the larger families. I guess each felt the need to be an Auntie. Two of the moms that had been in side by side cages, decided to bed down together with their chicks. Luv my biddies.

Oh my goodness my muscovy hen, well one of them, has been hoarding a clutch of eggs, they hatched yesterday or today I snuck a peek under her tonight and I think she's got 18-20 ducklings! So adorable! Tomorrow I have got to find my camera charger so I can get pics!

Please pray for my family and I. Home as we know it may not be the same again. We've had to turn off the hot water because we think that it is running under the foundation of our house. And if that's the case, the foundation of our very home may be cracking or breaking. It will take quite a lot of money to fix that, as you may know, and we already have to work with what we have. So, in the meantime, cold showers/cold water in general.

We are very worried down here.
