***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I'm so glad he likes them! The chicks are Salmon Faverolles, 5 toes and feathered legs, I just love this breed. Big and gentle and the boys are so sweet.
Dusti, are you set up to take the cockerel now? I'm pretty afraid of getting attached to him and not wanting to let him go if I keep him until we go to Rinda's in a month. I can't help myself  So if you're set up to take him now I can meet Ashley when she leaves to head your way.
Let me know.

Yeah I can take him tomorrow.

Ashtree it was nice talking to you. No you weren't stalkerish lol Yes make sure you keep your hands down my 6yo bid on some chicks for me twice. The first time I won the bid on accident do I told them no the second time I went ahead and continued to bid so I am bringing home 8 black Cochins chicks

I am still at the auction My rooster hasn't sold and the frizzle I am waiting for looks like it will be last if they don't leave. The blue OEGB with chicks was adorable but I talked myself out of it.
WOW you're a trooper. How exhausting.

Hope you get the frizzle!

@ashtree, @shelbydog The reason I asked which road you're taking is because I *think we're picking up 3 ducks tomorrow in Minco and it might be easier just to drive on through to Pops on our way back instead of going all the way back to Guthrie and then south again.

Sooner road until that ends at 35, 35 to 66, 66 to fountain soda wonderland/chick trading center :)

Ok, so you're getting onto Rt 66 at the 2nd St Exit in Edmond to go east to Pops. It would be really easy for me to meet you right there when you get off I-35, you'll probably be going by there about 12:30. That way I can plan on getting the ducks early and having time to actual settle them in 1st. So that will work. You can call me when you 're leaving the house and I can be waiting for you when you get off I-35.

Just leaving the Newcastle auction, hot hot hot there. @bardies I never saw you there, I saw ashtree and Muesky though! Ashtree has the coolest 8 yr old son! And when the box of 6 LF Faverolles came up for bid I'm sure I had the "deer in the headlights" look on my face :-O
And they came home with me

3 boys and 3 girls about 2 months old. I do believe Favs are my favorite breed.

We didn't get there until about 8pm. Muesky said that you had already left. :( We ended up leaving about 945. Didn't start selling birds until after 9pm. Saw a nice longhorn skull there. Some lovely twist that you don't see so much anymore.

Ok. Sounds like a plan. :) it will take me longer than most since I avoid the interstate through town. But 1230 sounds right!

i am new to backyard chickens and want to add some different breeds to my run. Any swap meets or auctions coming up soon in the area? or does anyone have any fertile eggs that they want to sell? i am looking for some rocks, easter eggers, speckled sussexs, brahmas, marans, dorkings, golden spangled hamburgs, or campines!?!?!

I just left the auction I got the frizzle. I ended up bringing home my buff cochin roo I took to sell. They bid him up to .55 I was not letting him go for that change so as I was standing in line to pay the black frizzle pullet and black bantam cochin roo came up. Wouldn't you know the frizzle started a budding war between 5 people. One of which was a gentleman behind me in line. I finally won the pair for $10 total ($5 each) I have anxious to get them settled in their quarantine pen tommorrow and my 8 black bantam cochin chicks in the brooder. I stole those at $.75 each.
