only a bad infestation of chiggers can kill, did alot of research on it with Timmy, apparently an infestation of them is toxic, a few chiggers aren't a real problem for them, but it leaves them susceptible to other infections

Thank you for the info, I remembered your devastating situation well. So I was super concerned when I realized there were chiggers on the landonly a bad infestation of chiggers can kill, did alot of research on it with Timmy, apparently an infestation of them is toxic, a few chiggers aren't a real problem for them, but it leaves them susceptible to other infections
and then you have to worry about the brain eating amoebas. I'll take the chiggers right here on good olé okie red dirt.Quote:
You're not going to go anywhere in Oklahoma that you won't find chiggers during the summer months. Except maybe out on the lake.![]()
Aw jeez.....you're making me want rabbits!!!!! You can make little habitats for them?? That's my kind of thing.
Neat idea. We have enough burmuda grass for a lifetime of those! How big will the finished ones be? And I'm kinda confused, do the tunnels lead to their underground homes? And will they ever be above ground?I haven't made mud pies in decades, that is exactly what I was doing today only w/ cement, I ran out before finishing the tunnels but was so proud of my idea I thought I'd post to show you guys. I was working w/ what I had and the wire armature was a bit to wide spaced, so what's a gal to do, ....................................................... use the evil runner grass I have been digging out of the garden for years.![]()

The tunnels will be under ground the underground dens (refrigerator) will be burmed behind 2 feet of dirt on the sides, tunnels will run through that burm, the burm will be planted in forage.Neat idea.
