***OKIES in the BYC III ***

she's been our foster since she was a puppy, she just turned a year old. And she only weighs about 35 pounds lol.

From what I've been reading on here about LGD is that if you want a good 9ne, it's best to buy an adult who's already been trained if you don't have an older trained dog to teach the younger dog (I think the latter applies here?) But if you just want a deterrent dog, (which is what most people think of when they hear LGD) then any old dog will do. Should have told me this before yesterday...There was a little girl puppy around here that went to the pound

I'm not shopping for the puppy yet, just doing breed research. I extensively research everything. Keeps my mind occupied!

day started well with a scammer hitting our bank account- hubs is down there getting it fixed.... bank is advancing us some money till they get it straightened out- love that bank- didn't expect that

had a great dinner with Coral and Dusti, nothing better than a meal and chicken chat!

What a scary situation! I hope they catch the stinkin' blanker fast. I had a great time at dinner too. You've got me thinking about using pastels on fabric. Would something like a deco art glaze work to make the colors fast and seal the pores of the fabric?

Our GP is great with the birds, but she's annoyed by the barn cats, so the cats are out during the day and the dog is out at night. I wouldn't suggest a GP unless you have a really big place. They like to wander.

I made pigeon nests today, my husband is on his way home with a bunch of coconut liners to put inside them. It was sooooo nice out. I've got 6 Pigeon pairs in a 10x10 pen, I'm just fascinated with these pigeons. These ones are all nice and calm, and their coos are the prettiest sound. One of the hens is a French Mondain.....that's what her band says anyway and she's bigger and way rounder than the Modenas. If there's any pigeon people reading this that knows where I might find more French Mondains, please PM me. The Pigeons will also be getting a 10x15 run covered with netting for excersize during the day. Right now @ashtree's visiting ducks are occupying that yard at the moment (And they are certainly welcome to stay as long as they need to).

I was building cement bunny tunnels today. The refrigerator dens aren't any where near finished yet, but the boy has found them and taken up residence, the seems to really like it, so I think we are on the right track.

Here are pics of Gwyn, the rooster that needs rehoming. Very pretty, shame to end up culling him. Bantam Cochin Rooster, 10 weeks (almost 11) weeks old. Well feathered feet. Growing new feathers every day! If anyone wants him, I can bring him up to 30 miles or meet you halfway. He's free!
