I've got cockerels and roosters to last me for years. I feel sorry for him but I just can't take him. Such a pretty baby, too.
Do you know what this is? This is a Silkie Bachelor pen with a dozen Silkie boys in it because I got attached to them and nobody wants them :-D I tried putting them in a big yard but it rained and they didn't know to go inside the coop because they'd grown up under a roof, so I was out there in a downpour chasing Silkie boys to get them in a dry place. So I had to combine pens and make them a 10x20 under a roof lol
What's really pathetic is I have 4 *yards with bachelors in them. They all call my name, Robin :-/
Anyone want a beautiful Silkie cockerel only 8 months old....?

I'm not shopping for the puppy yet, just doing breed research. I extensively research everything. Keeps my mind occupied!

I have boxers and my female is amazing with the chickens. She just lays down next to the coop and waits for me to be done. When the chickens are free ranging she doesn't bother them a bit. My male is pretty good. I do remind him to leave them alone. Boxers are amazing family dogs.

I need someone who wants some pretty silkie cockerels, too. These guys grew the sickle streamers pretty young, so would be good to help create a line of early developing silkie cockerels?

Put it with one of your known males and see what his reaction is. If he starts flirting and dancing for it then she's a girl. If they fight it's a boy.

The one in the back, its name is Princess Di, does my silkie have gender identity issues?

This is a black with red leakage cockerel. He's eating so I can't get a clear picture.
