@ashtree[@] Does he eat chicken at all? Either way, I'm sure it would be traumatizing to watch someONE you love eat someTHING you love. Anyway, I bet if we all put our heads together, we could come up with a solution. There's no reason for this to stress you or Arlo out. Maybe trade meat birds somehow? My plan is to eventually have a pen for the boys like [@]Kyzmette mentioned. Does anyone know what age chicks would have to be quarantined if her cockerels were to be combined with others off-site? Anyway, just trying to think outside the box. There IS a solution.

I figure they will be good for bug control (and mice 
) the rest of our boys are silkies/sizzles and I've not had trouble selling them in the past. But we'll see when the time comes. Of course with incubating eggs it's inevitable I will be dealing with many more boys. I like the idea of a meat bird trade in the future. But then I also like taking advantage of Arlos weekends he spends with his friends. I would never do anything without telling him first tho.
