***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Got on here earlier and read atwoods has chicks. Immediately loaded up the kids to go look (that's what happens when my husband works late lol) and came home with 4 new chicks. 2 are marked pullets and 2 were assorted bantams. Owasso has some awesome bantams by the way!! I am hoping you awesome chicken people will be able to help me identify 3 of the 4.
This is one of the pullets I have no idea what she is. I'm thinking EE she was the only one that color in the bin.
All white bantam with clean legs.
Another white bantam with some splashing? And clean legs.
and a picture of my barred rock girl. Couldn't leave her out lol.

Yes the first one is an EE. Not sure on the white ones, you probably just have to wait until about 6 weeks when they start to feather out, then we can give you a better idea.

I totally thought the same thing about the two you are talking about the first black one too.. they just seem to stand differently...

ill love them either way guess we will just have to wait and see as long as I end up with one hen i'll be alright

would be nice if I could get one of each color! Do cochin bantams crow like other roos when they get older? Prolly a dumb question lol! Well if I end up with all boys ill just have to get sum already sorted girls in the spring to make up for it I guess I was aware I had no idea what to look for but I did want feather footed friends and they only jad six maybe 7 left... arkansas state law requires you buy at least 6 and I was just too afraid to grab the one day olds I could have waited a week but its soooo hard once you see them!
@MrsDickey understands I think lol; thats what happen to me I found out atwoods had some and I was on my way just to look and then couldnt turn away... one day maybe ill learn but I doubt it. (Sigh)
They are still doing good in the brooder at 85 active and messy of course. Hopefully things continue to go well and maybe ill end up with a girl or two... if not I may just end up having to rehome a few of them. Guess I could have asked what to look for before I left but everything was foggy all I could see was feathers!!!!

LOL! And yes any breed of rooster will crow. Usually it's a personality issue as to how much they crow- but the smaller bantams do tend to have "smaller" crows than the large breeds (both shorter and quieter).

Im in the SE BA/Coweta area and im looking for an all flock feed. I have a 20week old pullet that should start laying any day and a 14-16 week old with her. Eventually ill be integrating 2 chicks. They are only 4weeks atm but ill need to change feed pretty quick. Atwoods has a checklist that shows tge all flock feed but doesnt carry it. Where do yall get yours?
