***OKIES in the BYC III ***

@Kassaundra How absolutely utterly ADORABLE!! Our little Rudy is a man now , he's all grown up & sportin' him some fine green duds with a lady on his arm :love

Looks like Rudy and Bella are already bonding! She looks like she feels right at home and not at all intimidated by him. Love his new dinosaur suit!

Bella doesn't seem easily intimidated. I don't know her status in her previous group, but when I first put Rudy in with the buns he was scared of them, but when I put her in, one or two came up to greet her and she stood her ground and pecked them. lol

I do i love them,The only thing that is different maintenance wise is if you want to free range them you have to cut the feathers away from their eyes or they can't see flying predators, When they are young they seem a little skittish but when they are older they are very friendly. Egg production is on the low side mine have stopped laying for the year but when the days are longer they lay on a regular basis not sure like one every other day i think but it is hard to tell since they are not all on the same schedule, lol. some of my girls
Thanks! You (or anyone else, for that matter) don't happen to have NPIP Polish hatching eggs, do you? I've been watching some on ebay, but they seem expensive...$6 a piece plus $10 shipping...and that's the starting bid. Or is that a normal price? @Kassaundra Rudy and Company are plain ol' amazing. Such great pics--what a fun yard you must have! Will he get gloves for the winter or are his wings not at risk? My daughter, who is not a fan of my chickens, says she's open to a pig and/or a goat! Haha. She may have just started her Christmas list.

Yes he will get sleeves. Trying to work out easy patterning now. The shirt made pants (shirt sleeves) and top, but not enough fabric for sleeves. Once I get the other pieces figured out I'll work on coordinating sleeves.

It reminds me of when my mom would make Barbie doll clothes without a pattern!

no i don't but you can get some from McMurray https://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/top_hat_assorted_chicken_eggs.html they are closer to 4 dollars per egg if you order 10 or if you order 40 it is about 2.35 per egg not sure what shipping would be. Also i don't know if they a have hatching eggs but Hodge Podge Poultry in Muskogee Ok has polish they sell chicks for 6 dollars. I got my silver lace from McMurray and she is my prettiest and friendliest one
.

PICTURES!!!! WANT TO SEE PICTURES OF 'DAINTY STUFFED ANIMAL DRAGON' AND RUDY!!!!!
sorry! that's what I get for not going to the bottom of the page before whining for pictures.....

Bella's color is the same as the bunnies! I wonder if that makes a chicken difference? I assume that they can see color very well. I love Rudy's new clothes. The fabric seems to be on the stiff side for something as mobile as the wings. Are you considering the possibility of a lighter or softer more elastic fabric for the sleeve?
