***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Welcome back to all our wandering Okies, glad to hear from you guys.

My niece was over the other day she didn't like her winter hat, she wanted a purple and pink sparkly princess hat, so I went to Hobby Lobby to find some yarn and this is what I ended up making, it is a surprise, but I need to figure out a superman hat for her brother before I can give it to them.

cute

Goliath update: here he is settled in for the night in the bathroom in front of the heater vent. He has become a permanent fixture in the bathroom. Had a good day yesterday ate some lil yellow sunburst tomatoes out of my hands yesterday. More like a chickenpire he sucked all the juices and seeds out.

We have a 25 week old pullet who has been sick with green colored (started out bright yellow) diahrea (sp?) for 2 weeks. We have taken her to 2 different vets in Norman (we're in Chickasha) and she has not gotten help except we know she does not have parasites or worms. Her comb is dull, she is lathargic, not interested in food. We don't know what is wrong but we know we are going to lose her if we don't get help soon. If anyone knows a good chicken vet, we will take her there wherever the vet is. No one knows what is going on and she is going downhill. We know we are going to lose her if she doesn't get good help soon.

Any help would be soooo welcome. Our hearts are just breaking!

Cathie Suuuuueeee! You could come freeze your tuckus off with us at the Coweta auction Friday! Coral will be there and Dusti might be there, and Rinda might come visit.

Anybody else chicken junkie enough to be there?
I finished my chickie hat. I don't know if I'm going to be brave enough to wear it. The pattern I thought would be good turned out to be really, really boring, so I pulled the hat apart and started free-form crochet. If I were ten, this hat would be awesome.

Yellow poop is frequently a bacterial infection and bright green poop is frequently a result of food poisoning or organ failure. Without actually seeing the poop it's hard to guess, because there are tons of conditions that could be the problem. My best guess, though, is a bacterial infection. I woukd probablypick up penicillin from the local feed store (TSC has it). Make sure to give lots of water, vitamins, yogurt and boiled eggs. You may have to tube feed her.

My fingers are crossed for you!

X2. A third thought that comes to mind is she ingested a no-no and it's caught in her digestive system- like a screw or a bolt or something? Not sure if one of the vets you saw tried an X-ray. Sorry your baby is fading. :( The antibiotics are a good idea to try. Same with the vitamins and any kind of high nutrient goodies (eggs, tuna, yogurt, etc) you can tempt her with to keep her strength up.

Very cute, and awesome job "winging" it.

They really do exist!

Makes me think of M&M's and Rudy all at once, @Kassaundra

These are from Troubaduo VanCleve's post on facebook.
I'd like to find a pic of Rudy and share it with her on her post.
