Well, since the old redwood cabinet incubator is "Iffy" at best, until I can get with TipihlowLadies, and build the new door, I decided to go back to Plan A, and turn an old well used, but well insulated Igloo cooler, into an incubator. I spent the past 2 days building it, and should have the 120 eggs, to fill it's roomy capacity, by tomorrow, then I can start incubating with a bit more reliability.
With the thunder and lightning, we've been having lately, there have been a few power outages. So, a friend gave me one of those battery backup/surge protector setups, that will keep the power on, to the incubators, should there be a power outage, of any length, or a power surge, that might otherwise damage the STC 1000 controller.
Here are some photos of the work so far. I need to make a few minor adjustments, but, I think I've done pretty well for a novice, using expert advice.
Thanks for the advice, experts!
