Yesterday I made pickles with 45 pounds of cucumbers purchased Saturday at the farmer,s market. We ended up with Kosher dills and two kinds of sweet pickles...one made with white vinegar and the other with apple cider vinegar. Some whole, some spears and some slices. A time consuming but rewarding process.
We took cracked corn to a back pasture for the wild turkeys late this afternoon and saw a huge owl fly up to a pecan tree...biggest one we have ever seen.
Have set a trap for the snake I saw in the barn last week, but no luck yet.
