***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I'm needing to downsize my current flock & wonder if anyone near me (zip 74937) would be interested. They are juvenile bantams, barred rock crosses, pullets& cockerels. :barnieI've got 2 more hens that went right back broody & are again sitting on their comrades eggs. :th
I’m hoping I’ll get mine to go broody and hatch some babies!

I wouldn't mind hatching a few of the guineas eggs once they're fertile, but I've got more chickens than ya can shake a stick at!!! Time for me to open up "FREEZER CAMP"!!!:drool I need a freezer first.:lau

Next Springs chicks are ordered, 25 Australorps will be here the first week of March. This is the first time I’ve ever just ordered a single breed but I’m also not adding as many as I usually do. I’m really just using up a credit with McMurray.

I’ve been having some predator issues. This weeks totals were 2 skunks, 1 opossum, and 1 feral cat. I actually witnessed the cat take two hens. I always worry about “removing” someone’s pet but I kept it in a kennel in the barn for 4 days and no one mentioned missing him. He was in no way tame so I doubt he was even a barn cat. I blame the rest on the brush piles around the neighborhood but I’d rather deal with vermin than have someone burn down the houses.
