***OKIES in the BYC III ***

old*cowboy :

Hi kassaundra, what kind of snake is that

It is a Taylor's Cantil.

Hehe. I just went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago. I am a little OCD and take pics of the name plates along with the animal, so I can label them properly.

Grace'sDad :

I had a friend doing some diving in Loch Ness and he got a cool photo of nesse

Yesterday was a long hard hot day for us fixing fence at one of our leases....lots of trees down requiring a chainsaw....only got 3/4 mile done. Have to go back to repair a watergap that is in really bad shape after 6 inch rain. Have a mile and quarter left to check...mostly no trees so should go fast. Loads of ticks too...I had 28 on me.

and I used spray!
Went to bed way early so missed last night's chatter.
Hubby has a post surgery check-up so will check back in later.

I do that too, just hadn't got to the filing yet and didn't have time or brain power to look back through the 700 pics to find the label! lol

Are these birds killed on a roost? If so then it is probably not a skunk. If they are on the ground the possibly. Skunks are more typically egg stealers and possibly chick killers. Just my thoughts.

Seems to be on the ground, i have done everything i could to show them too roost on their roost. But only a few of them do the rest cuddle up on the ground. Next step is for me to hop up on the roost and show them. lol

Here are some of the pics from the zoo yesterday

Years of going to the OKC zoo this is my first good pics of the cheetah

my wife loves going to the zoo so we go quite a few times a year, but the apes, chimps and pretty much all the primates always depress me

After my play day yesterday I have a day of yard/garden/chicken work ahead of me, in other words a more active play day! lol

Oh and thanks Sooner, had a great time at the zoo and got several animals very active, the snake eating, the bears and apes play fighting, the cheetah!!!!! Woo Hooo!!!!! and several others w/ action shots. I did get one of the new baby girl elephant but it wasn't a great shot the adult females were being very protective of the little girl and the crowds were still thick even after a month or so.
