***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I never had issues with Poison Ivy ow Doc on the other hand used to fall in it and other stuff all the time...one time he fell into a stock tank! I didn't think he would ever tip over but I kept pushing and eventually he went in!

Watch out Teach is telling fishing stories! I'm not allergic to poison Ivy either i just played in some this morning. Hey Teach you remember the time I kicked that tree branch while riding in the back of the truck on the tool box, that was one of my brighter moments.

But, doesn't it go dark when it gets to temp... If it goes dark and the sensor then sensing that it is dark causes another heat source to kick on, won't it get too hot?

You can also put two bulbs in it, and wire it to where if a bulb blows it opens a second circuit to fire up the second bulb....my father is an electrician and explained it much better than that, but thats the basics of it....

Just set your photo sensor so that power is only applied by the wafer switch, if power is applied and it is still dark the second bulb would then kick on.
Setting up both normally open and normally closed relays to detect a power problem and trip an alarm or second heat source is much more trouble than that.

Old Cowboy I wanted to post a pic of my mule and warmblood for you, remember I'm over 6.5' tall.

I think an upright freezer would be perfect.

I'm sold on using the upright Fridges or freezers I won the incubator contest with one last year and it works very well, If you were going to keep it outside I wouldn't cut the door and add a window like I did mine and I didn't have to I just wanted to be able to see inside while they hatch, this year I'm building another but to use as a hatcher so no turner in it just gonna add drawers so humidity isn't affected in other drawers, That was a problem with mine as I removed chicks the remaining eggs lost moisture I think so I'm pretty sure this will work even better.
