Hi Everyone!

Finally home and getting ready to go to bed. I had an absolutely fabulous time at POOPS and it was nice to see so many of you again and meet so many new friends. Stella had a wonderful time, she cried all the way because she did not want to come home.
Big thanks to all of you who helped make this thing possible.

Love you all!!!

She would have pulled them out for you. I bought the rest of their turkeys right before they left.

I will post more when I'm not so tired!

Thank you so much for bringing those little boxes for chicks. I came home with 4 of them filled with chicks and a very happy grandson.

Thank you to all who refrained from placing birds in Jaxon's hands so that he would fall in love with them. As it was, we now have a full brooder that was started up this evening, several cages of started chicks, several full grown roosters of cool varieties (how did THAT happen?

), and that is just the things that need to be fed

Many thanks to the guys and gals who helped me unload and then reload the magic poultry van. It was nice being able to see out the side windows more easily on the way home, without all the bulky raffle items and paper products in the front seat. It will be tomorrow before all the empty cages are unloaded from the van - I am a tired puppy tonight.

NNbreeder - I read the posts from this morning and saw where you thought that by only bringing a few cages, you wouldn't end up with as much to take home.

Wasn't it convenient that the cage with what turned out to be a reverse trio of barred NNs sold with the cage? How lucky can you get?

As always, the food was wonderful, the visiting was even more wonderful and we had a good time.

AL and Peaches - your hard work on cleaning and repairing the fairgrounds was evident everywhere I looked.

and thank you.

Made it home alive and put all the birds up for the night. Next year we should rent out one of those big tour buses to pick up everyone who lives more than an hour away. That way we can load all our birds up on top and sleep all the way home.

It was nice visiting with you, even for a few brief minutes, and I will undoubtedly kick myself when I get more rested for not acquiring some of your pure buckeyes.

When I first read your posts, my immediate reaction was that the bus would never smell the same again after transporting all those birds home - and then realized you were suggesting that the birds could ride home on the outside of the bus. Sounds like a good plan.

I had meant to ask you if you had brought any of the famous honey I keep hearing about, but I was having trouble keeping my brain on track. I was glad to see those little EEs go to such a good home. We're going to be in the Buckeye business for awhile, and once Bil gets home and takes over "his" flock again, we'll really start working on them. Right now I'm just playing with them while he is gone.

And don't forget, those buses usually have bays underneath for storage, so we can all haul as many birds as we want. We just might not get the deposit back.
