Steve go to tractor supply and get some Tylan-50 injectable and a few small syringes and the shortest 22ga needles that they have. If they are bannys give 1/4cc twice daily and if they are large fowl give 1/2cc twice daily. Do a course of injections for 7 days, no matter if they look better after three or four days do the full 7.

Give the injection in the left side of the breast about halfway down. Insert the needle at a slight angle and pull back the plunger just a tad. If blood comes up in the syringe move to a different spot, if no blood slowly inject the meds. The injection can also be given in the thigh jut above the leg. Keep us posted on your progress and if you have any more questions just ask.

The Tylan injectable will be in the livestock section, not poultry. Chances are if they ask about what you are treating they will steer you towards the Duromycin or Teramycin and you need something stronger then those.

Hi guys- quick question- got the wrong feed for the chicks- its gamebird starter instead of medicated chick feed- is it ok to feed to month olds or do i need to add corvid?

also, snowball is lethargic and barely eating- any suggestions? her comb is pale also

I just want to say thanks to everyone for coming to the People of Oklahoma Pouitry Swap this past weekend.
It is each and everyone one of you that came that makes this event more special each year.
I want to give big hug and pat on the back to my great friend Al Seminerio for all of the special things he did to make this event a success.
Al doesn't do anything halfway, its full steam ahead and when you sign up to help Al you better be ready to get after it.
It is that kind of drive and dedication that makes POOPS such a special thing.
He always thinks of things and does things for the event that I don't think about.
Al knows that its all of the little ingredients coming together to make something special just like in a recipe for one of his special culinary dishes he prepares.
Al puts in the extra planning and then follows up by doing the extra work.
If you thought POOPS was fun and is a good deal then please give Al a big hug and pat on the back.
We can't do an event like this without sometimes having to say or do something that might make someone mad. Al is usually the one that takes on the "bad guy" role when things have to be settled. Its not something he likes to do but something he sometimes has to do in order to ensure that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
I know Al will appreciate all of your accolades. Pat him on the back, give him a cyber hug and let him really know that his efforts are appreciated.
I am lifting my glass of Dr. Pepper and I ask everyone to raise their coffee mug, botttled water or koolaid of choice to Al for a job, done well!

Robin I have fed the GB starter and it was ok, get you some Med chick starter as soon as you get the chance and just mix in a little of the GBstarter on down the line to use it up, it will give them a little booste as it is higher protien! Try giving Snowball a few drops of honey and a few seringes of water every couple of hours, contact Less and tell him all the symptoms, I think I would give her som liquid wormer in her water if she is old enough also, I like to add ceyan pepper, powdered garlic and cinnamon to the starter feed every now and then also!!! I think it helps them, try feeding some boiled egg with Ceyan pepper on it too!!! Hope this helps, Lynn
