***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Shared this with my wife who shared it with her coworkers in th PD. They thought it was pretty funny.

Especially the one about slamming his face into my fist. Only they said it should be flashlight.

I would say it takes about 5 minutes to completely pluck a bird. And making it look easy was the whole point.

Because if is.

I'm thinking the next POOPS (if there is one) I will just time a batch of meaties, start on them early in the morning and let folks sign up for some hands on experience. Maybe get Carl to skin a few. Rotate folks so everyone who wants ca get a turn. Then folks get a lesson and I get lots of free help.

Buster, anytime poops or not just let me know. For young birds it takes about 30 seconds with no feather mess just straight into a bag. You only loose the fat and skin. Older birds can be more of chore but takes the gamey taste out of the old range roosters.

Thanks so much for the charms! You are so talented. I cant decide what to make with them yet. Cant wait to see what you come up with next time. I hope to be a little more prepared and get some of the cards made I was telling you about. So hard for me to stay inside but as it gets hotter here I will get back to crafting. Great seeing you again. Take care, DeAnn

Start learning to post pictures now because I want to see.

I am so disappointed that not only did I not get to see Funchicks stuff, I never got to see her either!

I know, huh!??! What the heck happened!?

But don't feel bad...I had some tote bags that never even made it out of the landcruiser because I wanted to visit and check everything out, and just plain forgot them until we were loading everything that evening. DUH!!

Well, that just means that I have to get the stuff REALLY ready before the next one! I have so many ideas that I am going to use for my next chicken projects

Excellent! I have skinned before but hear you are a pro.

This is all depending on what the organizers want of course.

I think we may have too many of everything that eats feed. We just got back from Fisher's Mill outside of Bristow and when we were all loaded with chicken feed (2 tons) and chickstarter (1500 lbs) I went across the driveway to Fisher Farms, to see if they had rabbit pellets. I got 1400 lbs of rabbit pellets and as they were being loaded onto the flatbed trailer, the guy asked me if we have a store or something.

Really, we don't - we just have lots of things that eat feed and it is easier to get it by the ton and load a pallet onto the flat bed trailer - and less expensive on fuel. Now, the fun part begins. Unloading it.

We came home by way of Hwy 62 and saw the Meeker sale barn and the cool new sign East of Harrah for the 1st and 3rd Friday auction that Pat Drew has. Maybe now that it is marked well, attendance at that sale will increase.

Hey everyone,

Still reeling from POOPS weekend... woke up this morning finding our only Naragensett TOM MIA
sad.png
I am just sick thinking that some one or something got him...

Then our darn male Chinese Goose.. Mia(dont ask) is wanting to take care of all the babies we aquired from POOPS and so I have had to stick him in the Nursery with them so he would stop trying to push through the fence.

Yep what a day!

JEANNIE
