yes nanakat it was my moms house that burned.. it was a total lose nothing was saved.. its been heartbreaking but at least she is ok

I saw the beautiful flowers and wondered if that was your house, based upon your description of the location. You have a beautiful yard!

As to candling brown eggs, I actually have more problem with some of my green eggs than I do with brown eggs. I too, would be interested in any tips. I have a simple, cool light, electric candler and suspect there are brighter (and more expensive) versions available.
