Being a cop in a small town I am ashamed to admit. They are most of the time very bored, so when one police car starts something, every police car in radio distance shows up, just so they can talk about the hot pursuit they were in.

I dont know about last night but I did drive to the General Dollar for some baby diapers and I see what appears to be a vehicle front end into a ditch with the tail end up... I said Dang thats gonna leave a mark.. ha ha ha

BTW: THANK YOU REBECCA/ MUESKY for the shredded paper idea... I had so much paper to shred that my kids were more than willing to shred it for me.. I am using it in the coop and in the garden

EDIT TO ADD: Thank you LORD for the rain... it was a big welcome in my back yard and garden

Woke up at the crack of dawn and it was torrential rains and thunder and lightning. Got an inch and a half so far. We don't need ANY rain here at all! I noticed Lake Hudson had been drained down back to normal...probably in anticipation of the next rains today.
Coons figured out I have chickens so I'm trapping. A new cheapy trap wouldn't hold the one I caught night before so went and got dad's heavy duty trap yesterday. If I caught him again last night he'll be one soaked coon cause it's poured all a.m. & I'm not going outside to look.
Hardboiled a batch of eggs for the adult hens to get later today and have them all prisoner in the coop till they get along and establish pecking order. My birds wouldn't let pepper's birds in the coop at all to eat so they are all in the coop for a week. LOL
Was quiet as a mouse in the henhouse yesterday

The rain likes to drive all of the snakes out of their lairs over here. I looked out the window about an hour ago and saw a little one swimming laps around the big whiskey barrel goldfish pond in the backyard. During one of last years rainstorms, Bil nearly had a heart attack when he walked out under the carport and there was a three foot blacksnake on the ledge right next to the door he had just walked out of.

Yes, those snakes are pretty sneaky. They like those window ledges. Watched one squirm up the concrete track between the bricks.
BIL still likes to tell about his sighting of a 4 foot snake going vertical along a doorjam towards the door knob on his garage door.

I just got to meet Sixshooter & his wife!!
