I picked up from craigslist a 10 wide 2 foot deep fiberglass satalite dish and plan on making a water pond out of it, I was telling a friend from work about it and he says he has another one just like it I can get, those would be perfect for growing duckweed in and a lot of it

That is an awesome idea!!!!

I'm ready for a day without thunderstorms or record-setting high winds. I lost my smallest RIR cockerel (in the teen pen) last night, probably during the thunderstorm pileup, and this morning a dead branch fell on my head. Arrg..
A friend sent me the week's weather predictions, according to Harold Camping:

I'm going to see Victoria in her dance recital tonight anyway. So there. The world will just have to wait to end until after all the tapping and twirling is finished.

Outside work is complete! Cleaned & sprayed the cochin pen, they will have temp quarters for tonight. Now to start on the inside of the house. Hopefully I can get some pictures hung tonight. I'm really tired of them sitting against the wall.

I think it is break time for now.

A friend made a duck pond from a satellite dish. She attached tubing to the hole in the center and put a plug in it. She made a raised area, burying the tubing and sinking the satelllite dish. Made it really easy to drain and clean, and with rockwork and foliage around it, it could be quite attractive.
