Hoping someone answers you because I have the same problem if I decide to let this girl stay broody. It is probably a 3 - 4 foot drop from there to the ground. But worried about moving before or after chicks hatch. You know it seems like it takes a good 24 hours for them to hatch, I would think that one could drop off in that time period but what do I know?

We had a hen nest on a stack of hay that was stored on a two-ton truck so their drop had to be about ten or so feet. From the amount of chicks she brought up I would say that all survived the jump.

yeah, I looked at them after I posted. Not mustangs, no idea what they are. The buckskin is very nice looking. sometimes people let their horses go in HMA areas hoping that they will take up with a herd, maybe that is the situation? or they could have been used in the round up but you would think they would have put that in the description.

After some investigating it appears someone gifted me w/ the gold feather membership, if it is someone on this thread, thank you.

Mj... Are you going? If so I can use it as an excuse to get my cage lol

I want to go but Joe wants to go to Beaver's Bend Saturday/Sunday. I am trying to convince him that we should go Sunday/Monday.

I wanna go! Thats our hometown... Maybe I could just crawl in a suit case...

From my dealings with GSA and other Gov. auctions they kinda list everything as either broken or in need of repairs. That keeps the lawsuits down. So if they listed these as broke to ride and someone got thrown they maybe could be held liable.
