Corid...hopefully they make it till the morning...don't have that on hand. Assuming you can get it at the feed stores right?

Hey nn the package of corid has directions for cows it says ten milligrams Per 2.2 lb of body weight so how much for 12oz. Chick?

10mg/ 2.2 lbs = 34 oz

so 3.3 mg=11 oz

My sick chick seems to be doing a lot better today. I gave that mixture that NNBreeder suggested and when I checked later, the chick was at the food bowl chowing down on some crumbles. Last night it was just kicking and scooting, but today it has been able to get up on both legs and take several wobbly steps. He/she has been hanging out in a separate brooder with a friend and relaxing away from the other busy chicks. I'm hopeful that we'll be seeing a full recovery soon.

I love sulmet for cocci, lost a good started pullet to it about 2 weeks ago. Dosed the birds for about 3 days and by then the bloody poo was gone. I belive its 2 tbsp per gallon of water 4 sulmet, not sure on the corid.

Evening all, kitten is some better, it is eating some and is peeing on it's own, but it has seiziers some times, he is hungry but don't like the syringe we have to feed him with. Kota came in and I sent him out to do chores, I vacuumed the hall and cleaned out the inside chick brooder box and Jessie came home and finished the rabbit cage for me. I have a headache and my teeth are hurting. Jessie is fixing supper, Kota is outside pouting and grumping around because I asked him to do chores after he worked all day!!! (Hummmmm this sounds familiar!!!!) Well I will try to check in later, Gnite all, Lynn

Well, we will try the corid and see how they fare, the inside chicks are already doing much better! Went to the midsize chicks brooder this afternoon to treat them since that is where I got the ones from that were looking ill and brought inside and found one chick dead.

So frustrated because I was having such good luck hadn't lost any chicks, then it just started going down hill from the day of POOPS. Hopefully getting this Cocci kicked will bring us back around.

Edited to add that Kings feed does have a good selection of medication for livestock and probably would have it, but I work in the city and it is hard for me to make it by there before they close. Same with Lumber 2.
