About a year ago, a man gave my dad eight horses and when he sold them, he lost money on six of them. So yes, free wan't cheap enough.
It costs more to do the Coggins testing than a lot of horses bring in the ring!

With the economy down, folks can't afford to feed as many horses as they once did and those horses with marginal skills are being dumped on the market. Even the horses that appeared well fed and well trained however, were bringing no more than $600. Very sad.

Good Morning all!!! Today is a day I have waited for for 18+ years, my son Aaron graduates today!!!! (No more child support out of my check!!!) I am very proud of him, he is at the top of his class, didn't know if he would be val. or sal. of his class last I talked to him about it but one or the other and his best friend in life will be the other. Whichever he is I am so very proud of him, he has turned out to be a wonderful young man, has stayed out of trouble so far and he likes birds like his dad!!! (he showed OEGB and pigeons while younger) So everyone please stay safe this holiday weekend , watch the fires and traffic and please keep an eye on the kids at the lake if you go!!!
